To create an immersive, mutually-beneficial, cost conscious portal that can introduce people to Makhanda, South Africa and Bloomfield, New Jersey in future courses.

To allow historically underrepresented populations at both Bloomfield College and in Makhanda, South Africa to reap some of the benefits of international engagement while remaining some 8,000 miles away in Northern New Jersey apart. This will leverage a readily available device: mobile technology, to create more immersive experiences for both the Bloomfield College student and the South African student than current “virtual study abroad” offerings.

This can also engage disciplines (most notably, Humanities and CAT) across campus in shooting video for multiple platforms and multiple audiences, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
